Perlace is a 100% merino lace yarn that is plied in a special way that reminds me of tiny pearls on a string. This type of ply is called perle, so far I have only seen this in cotton crochet yarn. Because this type of ply is tighter than a regular 2-ply the yarn doesn't split, it isn't slippery and when you drop a stitch it doesn't run down to your cast-on. This is why I highly recommend this yarn for both beginning lace knitters and the experienced lace knitters. I have tested this yarn and it knits up quite easily and quickly, blocking is a breeze and it holds its blocking very well. As for the colours: beside my passion for all things woollen, I also have a passion for British classic cars. Hubby and I can be found in motor museums across the UK. We love to visit the Goodwood Motor Circuit, the history there is tangible! That being said, you can probably guess where I found inspiration for the colours of this yarn. As always, you can choose any shade of the handdyed yarns across the webshop. The colour can vary a bit on every yarn base, but the difference is usually very small.
